I <3 Mega64
On October 30th Mega64 uploaded their video parody of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and its’s pretty awesome. Now I did really enjoy MW2’s single player campaign and of course it’s epic online multiplayer but I myself am getting tired of all these FPS war games and really wanna see something innovative. In this video the Mega64 perfectly capture what most of us where thinking about other games being delayed just because they didn’t want to compete with MW2, it was kinda embarrassing. Although I guess it’s a good plan when I think about how many people bought this game in the first week of release and as this Telegraph article shows, MW2 smashed sales records in the UK and US.

‘Pro-tip press A to JUMP’…
….is just one of the many comedic quotes taken from Xbox Live Indie Games Arkedo Series – 01 JUMP!’s game over screen.
The first game in a series of XBLIG produced by Arkedo Studio. Arkedo’s most known title is most likely ‘Big Bang Mini’ on the DS, which was an interesting dual screen approach to the top down shooter.

JUMP! however is an old school inspired platformer where learning the levels is key. If you’ve played Mega Man 9 on XBLA and, like me, found it just that little bit too challenging, then JUMP! is the game for you. Not to say that the game isn’t hard in it’s own way.
At the beginning of the game you only start with a few 1ups under your belt but you collect more along the way and with there being no checkpoints throughout the entire game, you have to work as hard as you can to avoid the frequently recurring game over screen.
JUMP! has a few more gameplay features that I haven’t mentioned so far, mostly because I’m still playing through it practising each level so I can get that little bit further each time, but the core run and jump gameplay is enough of a reason to check out this game.
And for 240MSPoints its an absolute bargain. Buy this now! (or at least get the trial)
